2008 and Who is to Blame
This is a great editorial on the explanations the Democratic senators who are presidential hopefuls ought to give about their support of the Iraq war. It's unfortunate that so many Americans have little memory of the events leading up to the invasion of Iraq and the warnings that it would be a long haul. While Bush has fulfilled his resolve to see this to the end over a desire to win a popularity contest, his opponents have taken the opportunity to mudsling over helping with a solution. They will cry that we have military men who are ill equipped or too small in numbers but they won't fund their gear or send backup... it's really quite hypocritical. So, who will they blame once they've pulled everyone out, put a Democrat in the executive office and we have another 9/11? Creatures of habit.... it'll be Bush's fault, I'm quite sure! Of course, he'll be pulling weeds in Crawford and Cindy Sheehan won't have a camp to protest at anymore. Will she storm the White House? (OK, now I'm just rambling. I'll stop here before she visits my homestead!)
