Looks like if I want clean dishes, I'll have to get my soap in another state! What do I think about this? Do they really think this will make a difference other than once again raising the cost of living around here? Thanks, Mr. O'Malley! Cha-ching!
So cynical, D! Got to say that I support the effort...it'll take small steps in lots of areas to clean up the planet. It's amazing how many chemicals we produce, and the effect on health and the environment. I plan to give Seventh Generation dish soap a whirl!
Cynical, maybe, reasonable, yes! I think the part about trying for 20 years to find a non-phosphate soap that actually cleans and being unable to do so bothers me a bit. It's sort of like saying we'll stop allowing gas powered cars even though we can't make one that runs on anything else. Don't you think?? Not to mention, most of the "drainage" in the Chesapeake comes from farther north than Maryland.... so it needs to be more of a concerted effort if you ask me. I'll be shopping for my soap in CT!

Speaking of that--I wish they would mass market a reliable car that runs on alternative fuel...a clean diesel or something. :-)
