Looks like someone at the
Washington Post has been listening to my ramblings about the "No Cupcakes" policy at schools. If we can't send in cupcakes to celebrate a birthday, why can our children buy cookies and ice cream in the cafeteria EVERY SINGLE DAY? Why is their recess time only 20 minutes out of 6.5 hours in school?? What is it going to take for schools to change the daily routine instead of infringing on the infrequent celebration of a special child? I don't know, but hopefully the WP will have more impact on future decisions because, well, no one is listening to this tiny little voice!
