Yup, I'm talking about our place!! I'm not sure "haunted" is the correct word, maybe possessed?? It's super fun to have house guests, but we've never had much luck in that department. It seems that the moment we invite, our house has a temper tantrum. Let's recap:
Good friends stopping on their way through to Florida: our heat pump goes, freezing cold night, have to use space heaters!
Good friends wanting to visit for the first time ever: bathroom falls apart just a couple weeks before they are planning their trip, bathroom remodel has major delays due to inavailability of the people who SAID they could finish in a week (unfortunately, they are the same ones we are now waiting on to replace our pipe out front, still haven't called with an estimate!)
Friend arriving this evening to sleep here all week: sewage back-up, all over basement, minimal water usage, house is a disaster, also getting ready for the arrival of dressers in the morning for Em's room - so the entire house is in disarray. I mean, it's a total mess. And the guest bedroom/office? Well, T bought new bookshelves and that was yesterday's project - until the sewage.... it's a disaster area as well.
Anyway, if you would like to stay here, it's come and stay at your own risk - and beware! This house is bound to surprise us all with it's next major disaster!!
