Things....

I'm about to head up to bed... and here's what's going on. Our little puppy is very sick. Yesterday she was totally fine all day, and then boom! She's sick, and she can't seem to recover this time. At this point, she can't walk or hardly stand. We are thinking it's off to the vet tomorrow and may not be coming home this time. I'm worried how Em will be with this.... just one year ago we found out about her kidney issue, so that we've had her a whole year is a miracle in itself.

Tonight, our friend LB came over and put together a list of people who might be interested in supporting her on a YWAM DTS. The crazy thing... it's not tax deductible. She is extremely trustworthy, so that won't be an issue, but I just can't believe they run a program where people need to raise $5000 support but it's not tax-deductible. Anyway, God is going to have to provide a way for this to happen.

Finally, tomorrow, after I work out all my anxieties in Group Power, I have three conferences to attend. Luckily, we got the last one as our best... it's the first two I'm a bit apprehensive about. I have issues.... bottom line, I'm thinking I'll leave feeling like not much was accomplished, but at least I'll get to share my side.

I have a lot on my mind, those are just the top of my prayer list for this coming week. I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving because I need to focus on the innumerable things in my life to be thankful for. It's really a peaceful holiday... with a little of Uncle D's Xbox! How fun is that?

I am feeling so bad for your puppy. It is so hard to watch someone you love suffer-even if it is your dog. They truly are one of the family, aren't they? I will be praying for both your pup and your family. How terrible.
I have to admit, I don't have any idea what you are talking about with the other top prayer list items...but I will be in prayer for you in general--and God understands even if I don't, right?

Poor pup. Keep us posted...that's awfully hard to take, I know.

She seems slightly better, just not well, though. She probably needs some IV fluids, which can happy when you have renal disease! Hopefully that will do the trick, but my girls are not ready to say goodbye.

The other stuff... conferences will be over today - Em's math one is a big concern because of the homework issue and she's allowed to use smiley faces on her assessments... just not the best idea for Em! That and her being assessed on things that they apparently are not doing in class???? A lot to fill up 15 minutes! Fortunately, she's doing really well in reading, which is usually her weaker subject. Kt's?? She's got a 97.5% in GT math and the rest of her report card is perfect - Tony and I usually look at each other and say "boring" simultaneously! Luckily, she's not one to rub it in her sister's face... yet!

Youth With a Mission runs a semester long Discipleship Training Seminar that students can go on. It's a few months at a training location and then a few months on the mission field. One of our missions kids is doing that and having to raise $5000 - half of that before January - and it's not tax deductible... puzzling, but I'm guessing that will make it much more difficult to raise.

I'm off to the grocery store before the girls get home from their half day!!
